You will need:
- 2 pounds of lean beef
- 1/2 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of onion powder
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 medium sized sweet potato
- 2 medium sized yellow potatoes
- 3 medium sized onions
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened soy milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Cut the sweet potatoes into slices, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and saute the onions and bell peppers for about 7 to 8 minutes.
- Add the beef, garlic, onion, water, salt and pepper and simmer the mixture for about 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle the cayenne, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and cornstarch and mix well.
- Put the mixture into a 9×13 pan and bake for 40 minutes or until the beef is done.
- Serve it with the sliced potatoes and the soy milk.
